diet can play a powerful role in maintaining white teeth. Consuming apples, celery and other crunchy fruits and vegetables have a natural way of removing tartar and keep teeth white. Lemon is also a way to bleach stains from teeth. Strawberries also have a way of naturally whitening teeth, but like any food, it takes awhile to see accumulation of benefits.
If eating crunchy veggies and fruit aren't exciting you, then using hydrogen pyroxcide and/or baking soda can help. By rinsing the mouth with these ingredients for a minute, teeth will remain whiter if done on a daily basis. Usually the hydrogen peroxcide over the counter is approximately 3 percent and is considered safe for rinsing.
Certain oils have been known to maintain whiteness such as olive oil, sesame or coconut oils. Swishing the oil then spitting it out is an Ayervedic method that draws out toxins, makes for better digestion and removes stains on teeth.
